Terms of Service

Welcome to Tenshin Arts. These terms are the agreement between you and Tenshin Arts, a nonprofit organization, when you use our website and games. We've kept them short and plain. By creating an account or using the games, you agree to them.

1. Who can use Tenshin Arts

Our services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. You may use them if you can form a binding agreement with us and doing so isn't prohibited where you live. If you're using them on behalf of someone else, you're confirming you're allowed to do so.

2. Your account

You create an account with a username and password — no email or personal details. You're responsible for keeping your password and recovery code safe, and for activity that happens under your account. Because we don't collect an email, your recovery code is the only way to regain access if you forget your password; if you lose both, we cannot recover the account for you.

3. Playing fair

Please use Tenshin Arts in good faith. You agree not to:

break the law, or use the games to harm, harass, threaten, or impersonate others;
cheat, exploit bugs for unfair advantage, or use bots, scrapers, or automation against the games;
attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or systems, or probe, scan, or disrupt the service;
upload or transmit malware, or interfere with other players' enjoyment;
choose a username that is offensive, impersonates someone, or infringes others' rights.

4. The games are free

Every Tenshin Arts game is free to play — there is no purchase, subscription, or in-game payment. Donations to the nonprofit are entirely optional and separate from access to the games; they don't buy advantages or content.

5. Ownership, content, and trademarks

Tenshin Arts, its games, and all related content — code, artwork, audio, text, and design — are owned by Tenshin Arts and its contributors, except where noted. Tenshin Arts™, Legend of the Ashen Dragon™, Freight Mogul™, A More Perfect Union™, Fading Wilds™, Vested™, Nullroute™, Progeny™, Epoch & Entropy™, Clearance™, Ember Down™, Corpus™, Asymptote™, Titer™, and Continuous Yield™ are trademarks of Tenshin Arts. All music on this site is © Daniel Ray, Ph.D. You may not copy, distribute, modify, sell, or create derivative works from our content or marks without our written permission.

You're responsible for what you do and say in the games, including anything you type or name. We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, that violate these terms or harm the community — we'll use reasonable judgment.

6. The service is provided "as is"

Tenshin Arts is a volunteer-run, free service, and our games are in active development (beta). We provide everything "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't promise the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or that progress and data will never be lost. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tenshin Arts and its volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or progress, arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us — which is zero.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Tenshin Arts and delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or to protect the service and its community.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll make a reasonable effort to note it on the site. Continuing to use Tenshin Arts after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
